Urvi P. Vyas

Dr. Vyas found inspiration and cultivated a desire for pursuing medicine at a young age as she witnessed the immense impact her parents had as pediatricians caring for their community. She strives to make a difference in the quality of life and overall health of each patient she encounters.

Visiting the United States for the first time as an exchange medical student, she developed an interest in endocrinology. She was fascinated by the complexity of the cases and the brainstorming required for each diagnosis. As an endocrinologist, she treats a wide variety of prevalent conditions, as well as lesser-known issues, in the rapidly evolving field while also navigating preventive care.

In her practice, patient satisfaction is important. She prioritizes the opinions of her patients when making clinical decisions. Dr. Vyas shares, “To me every person is unique and the care plan needs to be individualized. It is important they understand the medical condition and all the treatment options well.”

When it comes to caring for people, assisting them reach a place of overall health is priority for Dr. Vyas. She wants each patient to leave a visit with her feeling like a meaningful difference has been made in their life. Through empathy and understanding, Dr. Vyas commits to developing long term relationships with patients so they feel empowered.

Fluent in Hindi, Dr. Vyas received her medical degree from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Gujarat University, India, and completed her internal medicine residency at St Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. Additionally, Dr. Vyas is a board certified endocrinologist and completed her fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.

During her time outside of the office, Dr. Vyas enjoys spending time her husband and son, painting and yoga.
