About Dr Anh D. Tran
Bio
During college, Dr. Tran excelled in science and explored different career paths, He had the opportunity to shadow a local physician and saw firsthand the profound impact a doctor could make in his community. With a strong interest in helping others, this experience confirmed Dr. Tran’s decision to pursue a career as a family medicine physician.
In his practice, Dr. Tran has the privilege of being the first person his patients come to, and it is a responsibility he does not take lightly. He views primary care as a starting point and likes to guide his patients to make informed decisions about their health care. He chose to be a doctor of osteopathic medicine as it affords him the ability to look at each person holistically and address the physical, mental and emotional aspects of each patient. He places an emphasis on education and preventative medicine with all of his patients.
Dr. Tran enjoys building relationships with his patients whether it is a child, parent or grandparent. As he states, “I treat my patients like family. I want them to understand that I will be there for them when they need me, in good times and bad times.”
An Orange County native, Dr. Tran is excited to be back to serve his community. He received his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa, completed his family medicine residency at University of Chicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale Hospital in Illinois and has knowledge in conversational Vietnamese.
During his time away from the office, Dr. Tran enjoys snowboarding, surfing and playing basketball.
