Physician Networks

Do you have a primary care physician (PCP)?

You should. By selecting a primary care physician and seeing him or her regularly, you gain a health coach that understands your health on a comprehensive level. PCPs are also essential for acquiring referrals to medical specialists, should you have a health concern that requires a deeper level of expert care.

Long gone are the days when PCPs would operate out of their own private practice. Now most primary care physicians have joined forces and practice medicine through physician networks (also known as medical groups).

The easiest way to ensure access to the Hoag Network is to select a primary care physician from a medical group affiliated with Hoag.

In 2012, Hoag introduced Hoag Medical Group, a hand-selected group of physicians with a breadth of medical backgrounds, including internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, vascular medicine, HIV, addiction and more.

Hoag Medical Group operates out of seven locations throughout Orange County, and offers same-day appointments for added convenience.

By selecting one of our trusted Hoag Medical Group doctors as your primary care physician, all your healthcare needs will be handled within the Hoag Network.

Individuals with HMO insurance plans also gain access to Hoag extended network of affiliated physician specialist, covering medical specialties from addiction treatment to vascular surgery (and everything in between).
